It is a soft pink morning of Falgun month! Pedestrians carrying yellow, blue, white, red and saffron flags are passing through Narnaul on the footpath along the railway line. This scene is seen every year but this time it seems like an extension of Kumbh Mela. Perhaps because the scenes of Kumbh are still preserved in the mind. On the Ekadashi of Falgun Shukla Paksha, the head of Khatu Shyam appeared and the then king of Khatu built a temple there. Since then till today, devotees gather there on this day to have darshan of Shyam Ji's head. Throughout the Shukla Paksha, groups of padayatris keep passing through these areas. Lord Krishna needed Barbarik's head to protect religion, this son of Ghatotkach and grandson of Bhima got an opportunity to attain godhood and he did not let it go. To protect Dharma, many great men have attained godhood by giving their heads over time. In every village and hamlet, the shrines of Jujhars (warriors who sacrificed their lives in war) worshipped are proof of this. Certainly, the purpose of worship in Dharma is to attain godliness, that is why sentences and mahavakyas like 'Chidanandrupam Shivoham Shivoham' and 'Aham Brahmaasmi' were invented. Perhaps the purpose of attaining godliness is the root of the theory of incarnation in Sanatan Dharma. Seeing the divine qualities in Barbarik, God himself must have blessed him to be worshipped as his incarnation! That is why Barbarik, who took the pledge to fight on behalf of the losing side, is still the 'support of the loser' in the form of Krishna! In Sanatan Dharma, there are opportunities for everyone from the prince brought up in palaces to the forest dweller child to become God! Ordinary human get opportunities to attain godliness every day, but it turns it’s back on these opportunities. Carrying saffron, a symbol of sacrifice, on his shoulders, he is running on the rough and paved roads of Khatu to seek support. The losers sitting on the seats of trains are fighting for space with the co-passengers standing next to them. The feeling of seeking support is strong, the duty of performing Dharma is secondary! The decline of morality has contributed the most to the downfall of Dharma. The purpose of worshipping gods and becoming like them has been reduced to flattery and pleading. Moksha by taking a dip in Prayagraj! Moksha, which is not attainable even in many births has been made so easy! Undoubtedly, the effort to become like God by immersing oneself in God can be the path to salvation. Just like in becoming Shyam Ji from Barbarik, the real message is not to seek support after losing but to become the support of the loser. Let us go to Khatu from now on to get the power to become a support, not to seek support.
